Weight Loss and Triathlon, Arizona Part 2

This video was done by a TV station in Portland (Oregon) on Aleck and how much weight he has lost.  Remarkable.  He also kept a blog over the past few months leading up to Clearwater.  His link is in my blog roll (to the right —>).

Bill is another athlete I have coached who has also taken control of his own destiny and health by losing a lot of weight (you may remember from some of my early posts).  Check out his blog if you are interested in some of his stories.

Meanwhile, I am putting on weight.  It is called winter weight around here.  Perhaps to keep us warm?  It worked today, I was cooking in the pool this morning.  I may have to take a bucket of cold water with me if the pool stays warm.  No worries, I have it under control (winter weight that is) going into the Christmas baking season.

Arizona Part 2

Have you heard?  All the rumours were true.  Ironman Arizona is going to have two dates this year.  April 13th and November 23rd.  Then in 2009, the race will occus in November on the weekend before american thanksgiving.  I am hoping they put another NA race in April.  The April date was very popular and it was selling out.  There are plenty of summer and fall IM’s so some early spring IM’s would be nice for the sport.

BTW – my wife already signed up.  She still plans on IM Canada.  So, it looks like we are going to AZ in November to visit Mo.  I will do one or the other.  Not sure I am up to doing both.
